DARREN LAVIGNE

Darren is a Saint Johner, through and through. If you’ve ever strolled through the City Market, you’ve seen his friendly face. He’s there each day, bright and early, unboxing fresh produce and preparing beautiful displays. 

He's been doing this for thirty years, and thanks to his loyal customers, his motivation has not wavered: “the buzz of the market in the morning and the people who shop locally are a huge perk. It really can’t be matched or replicated.”

Not only does Darren know his stuff when it comes to produce, but he’ll remember you by name, along with the item you were looking for last week. He attributes his knowledge and passion to the mentorship of Geoff Lander, who was like a father to him.

In 2012, Darren purchased the business from Lander, and has been serving Saint John with warmth and enthusiasm since.
